Hello KM Shark Families!

Please read this email, as it contains some important information regarding the upcoming 2026 KM Shark swim season!

• We will have a new team bathing suit this year.  All swim team members competing in the meets are strongly encouraged to purchase our team suit. I would encourage you to order your swimmer's suits as soon as possible to avoid sizes selling out! • We will have sizing kits available for your swimmer to try on at Popsicles in the Park and Meet the Coaches Night.

• During registration, you will also have the option to purchase our new team towel for the 2026 season that will go with our camo theme this year!

• Little Shark Registration Opens April 1st!
  • Limited space available (only 20 spaces available). $180.00 per child
    Practice at Mounts Bay Pool 3X per week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - June 3rd-July 24th, 2026). See home page on the website for times and details.
    ** Must be 4 years of age by January 1st, 2026
    **Please note that parents must be on the pool deck at all times, keep an eye on their child throughout the lesson, and be within arm's reach if the child is a non-swimmer.
• Time-Drops!  I am excited to share that we have purchased a NEW timing system called Time-Drops!  We are stepping into the modern times with this automated system that will automatically start the clock, and all timers (yes, we still need timers) will just have to hit the button at each swimmer's finish.  The times are automatically loaded into our Meet software, and live results will appear on our large screen TV with events, heats, lanes, names of swimmers, and timed results!

• Swim Schedule will be loaded into Swim Topia in the week or so.  Below is our TENATIVE SCHEDULE!!  Our official schedule will be loaded into our site as soon as VPSU finalizes the meet schedule.  I am providing this tentative schedule to aid in summer planning!!  

April 1^st - Little Shark Registration Opens at 6 am

May 1^st - Swim team registration opens 6 am

May 2nd- Popsicles in the Park at Mounts Bay Playground 3-5 pm

May 15^th - Meet the Coaches Night - 6-7 pm at Mounts Bay Rec Center

May 26^th - First day of afternoon practices.

June 3rd - First Day of Little Sharks

Time Trials - June 12^th 6-9pm (At Mounts Bay Pool)

June 15 - Friendship Meets (at KM Pool)

June 15^th - First day of Morning practice

Team Pictures - June 16^th 11-11:30am

Family Fun Night - June 19^th at Mounts Bay Pool

June 20th - Cardboard Regatta 1-3:30 at KM Marina
