    VPSU Champs Meet Information, Heat Sheets, Volunteer Job Assignments!

    Good Afternoon, Sharks Families!!

    The big day is almost here for the VPSU Champs Meet!

    We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the 757swim Aquatic Center on Saturday! Here is some information for the upcoming meet. 

    Attached you will find the Athlete Check-in, Heat Sheets, Space Allocation Map, and Warm Up Schedule, and General Volunteer Assignments. 

    ***At the END of this email, you will find your Kingsmill Sharks Parent Volunteer Job Assignment for both AM and PM Sessions pf VPSU Champs Meet.

    I apologize for some families working double shifts; our team was assigned more slots than swimmer families! 

     Pool Address: 757swim Aquatic Center 5720 Warhill Trail, Williamsburg, VA 23188 Volunteers: Please see your assigned Kingsmill Sharks Volunteer job, time slot and who will take your place below..

    Please make sure to sign up your team's volunteers so that we can have coverage for a successful meet. Representatives from each team should check in with the Volunteer Coordinator in the 757swim Aquatics Center when you arrive at each session so we know your shifts are covered. 

    Parking: There is plenty of parking around WISC and Warhill Sports Complex. No parking will be open in the 757swim parking lot unless you have a handicapped parking permit. There will be parking attendants directing people. 

    Set Up and Take Down: Team tents & chairs can be set up in the 757swim parking lot Friday night between 6-8 pm. Please see the Allocation Map for your team's spots. Please have your tents down and area clean when the meet is over!

    Kingsmill will have tents set up but there is limited space.  Please bring your own chairs.

    Warm ups: Please see attached. Warm Ups Assignment document for assigned warm up times and lanes. 

    Concessions: There will not be a concessions table in addition to the two food vendors so make sure your teams and swim families plan accordingly. 

    Kingsmill will provide drinks and snacks to our swimmers, but please bring plenty of drinks and snacks for your family! 

    Hospitality: Fords Colony is running hospitality for coaches & officials 

    Safe Sport: The only people allowed behind the blocks are timers and officials. Spectators must remain in the spectator area. No photos or videos taken behind the blocks. 

    Other Important Info:

    • If your team has been assigned Parking or Marshal jobs the first shifts will need to be there early. Parking lot attendant jobs start at 6:00 a.m. and run until 10:00 a.m. Afternoon session parking is from 10:00-2:00. Morning session Marshals start their shifts at 6:30 a.m.
    • The Awards Ceremonies will take place outside this year.
    • We want to leave the 757swim Aquatic Center in the same shape if not better than when we get there. It is the responsibility of every swimmer and every team to check their areas to make sure they are clean and trash free when they leave. This year we have added a clean up crew spot to the volunteer jobs to check around but it is each team's job to make it so the clean-up crew is pretty much out of a job. 

    Kingsmill Job Assignments by Time (Please do not leave your job until the next KM volunteer shows up!)

    AM Session (11 and older swimmers: 8am-12:30pm)

    AM Timers: (we were assigned 2 timers in lane 4)

    Lane 4- (8:00am-9:30am): OQUENDO and SABLAN

    Lane 4 - (9:30-10:45am): KERSTETTER and SINES

    Lane 4 - (10:45am- 12:00pm or until end)- KLING and SHOEMAKER


    AM Clerk of Course:

    8:00am-9:00am: PRITCHARD

    9:00am-10:00am: HEYWARD

    10:00am-11:00am: FREDRICH

    11:00am-12 noon: MEEKS


    AM Parking:

    6:00am-7:00am: TREIBER

    7:00am-8:00am: KERSTETTER

    8:00am-9:00am: KOKOLIS

    9:00am-10:00am: FASS


    AM Deck Marshall:

    6:30am-8am: SINES

    8:00am-9:30am: HEYWARD

    9:30-11:00am: HART

    11:00am-12:00pm: ROMESBURG
