Heat Sheet for Tonight's Meet against Windsor Forest Frogs and 4th of July Parade Information
Happy Meet Day!
Your swimmer enjoyed a sugary treat of donuts this morning!
Let's get ready to swim fast and cheer hard this evening! Heat sheets are attached at the bottom of this email. Please note that I have included the Kingsmill Team Records, Kingsmill Pool Records, and VPSU Champs qualifying times. If your swimmer has made the VPSU Champs times indicated on the heat sheets, your swimmer will then compete on August 3rd and the VPSU Champs Swim Meet held at 757 Pool (at the Wisc). These are great goals for your swimmer to achieve these times and participate in this meet!
Please arrive at Mounts Bay Pool tonight for warm-ups that begin at 5:00pm. Please do not set your chair up prior to 4:00pm. Also, please have your swimmers set up in our "shark den". It is shaded and a table will be in the shark den to create friendship bracelets and color coloring sheets. Volunteer Check in will be at the front entrance (please sign by your shift).
Tuesday will be our make up tie dye for the 4th of July Parade! We will still have practice Tuesday, just have your swimmers after practice tie dye a t-shirt if you didn't get a chance to at Family Fun Night. These shirts are to be worn for our 4th of July Parade! The swim team will be in the parade, so wear your tie dye t-shirt, create a fin for your bike helmet, and meet us at South Hall Pool Parking Lot at 9:30am to get ready for a 10:00am parade start time. The Kingsmill Sharks will bike behind two trucks all in a group. Please stay together as a group! Parents are welcome to walk with us and help our younger sharks! Our Coaches will be in the back of the truck beds leading the kids in cheers! Especially at the judges stand! We will have bags of candy for our swimmers to throw at the parade watchers. We will have flags and pool noodles strung to look like lane lines and they will be tied to the trucks and held further back by parents. Please have your swimmers on their bikes and staying within these flags. The parade will end at the plantation for field games!
Kingsmill Sharks swim team will also have a lemonade stand and bake sale to raise money for our team during the field games! All you bakers out there, please feel free to bake some goodies and donate it to the swim team's bake sale!
Have a restful day in preparation for this evening's meet! Go Sharks!
