Good evening, Shark Families!

What a successful first week of practice!  The kids have had a lot of smiles this week seeing old summertime friends, making new friends, and interacting with the coaches!

Time Trials are next Friday, June 14th.  The meet will start at 6:00pm.  Please arrive at 5:15 for swimmer warmups.  Volunteer meeting will take place at 5:45. If your child is swimming in time trials, it is required to volunteer at this meet.  We still have some open volunteer spots and the meet cannot happen unless everyone signs up to volunteer.  Also, please RSVP by Friday for your child to swim in Time Trials!!  We will be creating the heat sheets on the Monday before the meet, so please RSVP!  It is ideal that each swimmer swims as many events as possible for time trials so we may capture their time for them to be placed in the appropriate heat of future meets.  Any questions, please feel free to give me a call 757-876-5225.

Concessions will be for sale at Time Trials!  We will have delicious choices for dinner as well as snacks and drinks!  Please support the swim team by purchasing your Friday night dinner at the "Shark Shack" located inside Mounts Bay Rec Center.  Merchandise will also be sold at concessions!  Grab your green shark gear for a very green season!!

Lessons:

If your child needs additional swim lessons or would like to focus on technique of a specific stroke, our assistant coaches are available to do private lessons.  You would pay the coaches directly and schedule directly with them.  They have set their rate at $30.00 for a 30 minute lesson.  To schedule a lesson, please send me a text and I can provide you with their information.
