PLEASE READ! Changes for Ford Colony Meet

    IMPORTANT!

Ford's Colony will be using timer sheets at the meet instead of cards.  What does this mean? This means that your swimmer will NOT be handed a card.  The timers will have sheets with each swimmer in their lane that will be listed by event (one sheet per event).  They will write down all three watch times for all heats in each event before the runner picks up the sheet to got to scoring.

How do we prepare for this?  At practice on Monday- the coaches will write the event number, the heat and the lane on the swimmers hand in sharpie.  It will look something like:

    IM 3/2/6

    Free 15/3/4

    Back 37/5/2

The first number is the event number, the second is the heat number and the third is the lane number.  Please make sure your swimmer doesn't wash off the writing before or during the meet.

As parents, you will have to pay very close attention to what event and age group they are on during the meet.  We will still line the swimmers up and place them in the correct lane...but YOU need to make sure they are in the clerk area on time.   We don't have enough volunteers to seek your swimmer out if they don't show up in time.

This is how USA Swimming meets (year round)  are run .  Once we get use to this method....it will save a lot of time.

    Thanks!
