The Kingsmill Sharks informational meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21^st from 6:30-7:30 pm at Mounts Bay Recreation Center. The formal presentation will be from 6:45-7:15pm with time for questions before and after. Those who fully register on or before May 15th will receive a free newly designed team t-shirt ($12.00 value). Fully registered means all online forms have been completed, all fees have been paid and volunteer hours (5 points) signed up for.

During the meeting, we will be demonstrating the tools available on the website as well discussion the many policies and procedures that every family needs to be familiar with to ensure our meets run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Head Coach Matt and a few of his assistants will also be there to answer questions and meet new swimmers. The free t-shirts will be distributed to those who registered by 5/15 as well. It is very important that all new Shark families try to attend so everyone can stay informed! We welcome all returning families to attend as well!

**NO swimmer will be allowed to practice until online registration is completed and payment in full is made.

Is my child ready to swim?
The swimmer policy remains the same as it as in the past: a child MUST be able to get down the length of the pool without assistance. They do not have to have a formal stroke, but rather be confident and strong enough to make it 25 meters.

Though we would like to have every kid swim on the team, it becomes a safety issue if they are not confident and comfortable in the water. Our coaches evaluate the kids during the first week of practice and may talk with parents about individual options for swimmers who need additional assistance to become more confident swimmers. On occasion, young swimmers have been asked to come back the next year if they are deemed "not ready".

What happens if my child decides they do not want to swim after my fees are paid?
There will be a full refund if the Board is notified of withdrawal by Friday, May 31st. This gives your child four (4) days of practice to make a decision. After May 31st, there will be a $50.00 refund if your child withdrawals before the first meet (June 17^th). After June 17^th, there will be NO refund.
